An aging population – Not a North American trend

Folks typically know an aging population is growing in North America and Europe.  But did you know that it’s a worldwide trend, too?

For the first time in history, people aged 65 and up will soon outnumber children under 5.  They can’t all live in North America and Europe.

They don’t.  Guess which country has the largest number of senior citizens?

The U.S.?

Nope.

Russia?  Japan?

Nope.

China?

Yes, China! It has 105 million senior citizens, the most in the world.

As China industrializes, it looks more and more like Western countries.
